8:03 pm - money, money, MONEY!
wow. this feels so weird. i havent been here in so long...maybe too long. what have i been up to? well, it's something like this:

- working 6 days a week at good ol' Wendys.

- helping my mom with those evil twins. (they're only 3 months old, and they've already got on my nerves)

-learning how to produce music. my friend produces beats for some Toronto artists, so he was nice enough to teach me. :D

- going for random car rides to random places like Jane and Finch, Scarborough, Malvern, Rexdale...etc etc. dont ask.

AND FINALLY...

- i started my own company.

yes, that's right. im gonna be a rich girl, now what! i wrote a poem about the state of Hip Hop and how things have changed. my friend loved it and decided to put it on a shirt. the idea was so great that we thought that we'd start making more shirts and selling them. so...that's our business. we hooked up with a guy who knows a lot of people and has many links. he's helping us out and spreading the word. make sure you do the same! we also know a person who thinks we'll be able to sell the shirts in the store called Broadway! right now, we're just working on registering the company name, copywriting the poem, and making buisness cards and what not. *sings* im so excited...do, do, doooooo!

and that's about it. :D
i just noticed that it's exactly one month since i last posted...creepy

11:27 pm - bundles of joy.
it's been so long. but, now i have something i can post. here's the story, enjoy:

so it's Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 5am in the morning, and my step-dad comes into my roon saying, "your mother's water broke!" that's when we all freak out and go crazy because we didnt have a clue what to do. see, i thought that we were supposed to rush to the hospital (that's how it is in the movies anyway). my mother didnt want to go there yet, so we get into a HUGE argument...it was quite hilarious when you think about it. so, we finally head off to the hospital and waited...then waited some more. one minute my mother was there, and then she was gone...confused, i waited around, freaking out, called as many ppl as i could, and one friend actually made his way to the hospital :) . then, i heard the news that my mother had a baby boy...and a girl! we got the best of both worlds. it's such a blessing! we named the boy Gavin and the girl Mea. at first, i wasnt that excited, but now that ive held them...im happy. now i know nothing is going to be the same around here...but im fine with that (i think). this whole situation is weird...but a good weird.

she enjoyed the simple things in life. the way the snow glistened in the sun. the way the waves rolled in over the sand. she would spend hours in her garden admiring the flowers and listening to the birds. she was always kind and saw the good in everyone. she loved having guests in her home because it would give her an excuse to bake...and how delicious those cookies were. she was a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a neighbour, a friend and a believer in God. she had a wonderful life and i know she is smiling down on me now. she was truly a special person to me and i will miss her. i love you Great Grandma.

7:25 pm - im getting old.
so, yesterday was my 18th birthday! it's kinda depressing because 18 is so close to 20...and 20 is such a serious age! i dont wanna grow up! i wanna stay young and immature forever...or at least until im 35. 18 is supposed to be one of the big birthdays. after hearing all these things about turning 18, i had my own expectations. but, when the day actually came, it was just meh. next year however, is the year. muahaha!

saturday night i went out with a few friends. the night consisted of: finding money on the street, getting a half-price deal at Dairy Queen, watching movies, driving around while yelling at people, chilling in the park, putting on skits, etc. so, basically, the night was random, but fun.

sunday, which is my real birthday, i spent time with my family and went out to dinner. it was nice. the funny thing is, Femi took me out to dinner today at the exact same place. and the waitress that was there last night, was there today. it felt strange.

overall, my birthday was simple, but fun. it's kind of a teaser birthday though because you cant really do anything. but, next year this time, im gonna be dancing up a storm in the club! yesssss!

8:06 pm - where's the spirit?!
it doesnt feel like halloween. my mom and i bought so many candies and chips because we thought we would get a lot of kids. we went outside around 6:30pm and sat down. we waited...and waited some more. we got about 20 kids in total. what's wrong with kids nowadays?! it's free candy! shoot, if i wasnt so tall, id be out there trick or treating! then again, i guess i cant blame them because so many horrible incidences have been occurring lately. there's even a police officer patrolling my block just in case something happens.

meh. i guess there's a good side to this all...i get to eat all the candies that are left over! muahahaha!

btw,
HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY DEVON
i hope you have a crazy birthday and get whatever it is that you wished for!

i love downtown toronto. i witness so many hilarious situations. ive never laughed so much in my life. and since these stories are oh, so funny, im gonna share them with you.

1st story: ok, so my two friends and i are sitting in the caf. this girl stands up and she's wearing all black, but there's this white thing hanging out the back of her pants. at first, i just glanced and thought nothing of it, but then i looked closer and it was toilet paper. and it wasnt a little piece of toilet paper, noooo, it was this huge piece of toilet paper! being the immature people we are, we just started laughing. neither one of us could tell her cause we would just laugh in her face. a lady beside us got mad at us and went over and told the girl. she was so embarassed.

2nd story: there's a line-up in the bathroom. so, we're standing in line and this girl walks out of one of the stalls. then she turns back on to wash her hands and her skirt is up over her bum! hehehe! i know i shouldnt be laughing because it could happen to anyone...but seriously, imagine if no one told her and she went into the halls like that...

3rd story: yesterday, i was waiting at the lights. this short, black dude with coke bottle glasses starts to sing. at first, i thought nothing of it. but then, i started to listen to him and realized what he was saying. it went something like this, "Oh, she's so tall. when she bats her eyelashes, i begin to fall. oh, dont leave me here waiting." i couldnt help but laugh.

i know these stories probably dont seem funny to you...i guess you just had to be there.

btw, my birthday is in 11 days. the big 18, yessss! does anyone have any birthday party suggestions?
